BNN Mentorship Program

Black Nurse Network wishes to provide nursing students with opportunities to prepare them well for their career by way of mentorship, scholarship opportunities, and exposure through shadowing experiences. Nursing professionals will mentor nursing school students in a 10 month mentorship program!

The mentorship program runs  September-June and include the following elements:
-10 month commitment for 1-1 mentorship in monthly meetings with their nurse mentor to discover how the student can be assisted during the year,
-NCLEX preparation as needed,
-Mandatory attendance to the BNN Annual Brunch hosted in the Fall to expose the students to other minority healthcare professionals,
-Assistance applying to the BNN scholarship if applicable,
-Assistance with applying for colleges/scholarships if applicable,
-Mentorship beyond the 10 month program to assist in job placement,
-support, NCLEX preparation, ect.
-Shadow opportunities with the nurse they are being mentored by in the Fall and Spring at their workplace if applicable.
